Postcard featuring a photo of a 3D model constructed from three photographs where tourists are posing in front of The Parthenon in Athens, Greece. The photographs used to construct the figure on the postcard are derived from the artist's family album, depicting three generations posing in front of the famous monument: Halvadaki, her mother, and her grandmother. The three photographs were taken on individual journeys spanning over a duration of 40 years, yet they share similar poses and angles. By merging the three photographs, a new 3D image is formed. The original motif is dissolved, and a new form depicting the very act of photographing this kind of motif arises.
The postcard was made in relation to the video work Ruins of Memory - Memory of Ruins as part of the Exhibition EXTRACT IV at Kunstforeningen GL. STRAND in Copenhagen.
Postcard displayed in the gallery shop.
